Pull me apart and put me together. If you make me, I will be better: completely sweet and totally clever. I can’t quite put my finger on it Pull me apart and put me together. If you make me, I will be better. If you make me, I’ll love you forever I can’t quite put my finger on it. You were made for me. Make me in the same way. Make me in the same way. You were made for me. Tell me sweet nothings. Tell me you love me. Do as I say and say nothing. I made you kind, and I made you loving. I can’t quite put my finger on it Tell me sweet nothings. Tell me you love me. Do as I say, or say nothing. If you love me, then why are you running. I can’t quite put my finger on it. You were made for me. Make me in the same way. Make me in the same way. You were made for me. Pull me apart and put me together. If you make me, I will be better. If you make me, I’ll love you forever. I can’t quite put my finger on it.

I’m sick. You said this would be fun. Yeah, I am tired of you. You know what, I am completely done. Don’t treat me like that. I’m not coming back. Don’t think you can just treat me like that. Woe, I’m not coming back. She’s not coming back. If love’s a drug, then I’m strung out. If love’s a drug, then I’m strung out. I don’t need your love. I don’t need your drama either. I don’t need your love. She’s not coming back. If love’s a drug, then I’m strung out. If love’s a drug, then I’m strung out. If love’s a drug, then I’m strung out. If love’s a drug, then I’m strung out. I don’t need your love I don’t need your love I don’t need your love now I don’t need your love I don’t need your love I don’t need your love now I don’t need your love I don’t need your love I don’t need your love now I don’t need your love I don’t need your love I don’t need your love now I don’t need your love I don’t need your love I don’t need your love now I don’t need your love I don’t need your love I don’t need your love now

Icarus 05:02
You say first love is a fable. It seems so obscene, but now, I have loved and learned and I know what you mean. We left the ground with no thoughts of coming down. You never do; I know that now. Don’t blame Icarus, it was the fault of the sky. There’s not such thing, as flying to high. I should have known that it was a lie. I should have known that you were in love with her. There is a break in the clouds and I saw you pass me by. We start to fall but never thought to ask why. Maybe man wasn’t meant to fly on these wings. Guess you don’t know unless you try somethings. Don’t blame Icarus, it was the fault of the sky. There’s not such thing, as flying to high. I should have known that it was a lie. I should have known that you were in love with her. There’s a wave and a ripple where we crashed into the sea. The world goes on, but without you and me. May the gods decide what comes next. The moral of the story is anyone’s guess. Don’t blame Icarus, it was the fault of the sky. There’s not such thing, as flying to high. I should have known that it was a lie. I should have known that you were in love with her.

about

Lake Effect Indie Vol. 2 is a darker deeper EP than Vol.1. Joe Monahan wrote the music around the voice of Katie Schieber. On the opening track, Intelligent Design, Monahan is the voice of doubt wondering whether God is just a creation of man, or if Schieber, the voice of God, created everything.

Katie Schieber reminds the listener repeatedly that she is done with them and does not need them on I Don't Need Your Love. Scotch returns to grove based song structure here, and John Schieber delivers a beautiful classical sounding solo.

On Icarus, Monahan draws a parallel between the classical story and the pangs of guilt at the end of a first love. The harmonies match the lyrics in both beauty and tension. Schieber and Monahan trade jazzy solos before the ablum fades out leaving you to wait for Vol. 3.
